Titans agree to trade No. 1 overall draft pick to Rams

The Rams are moving up 14 spots and are giving up two first rounders, two second rounders, and two third rounds, but they are also getting two picks back.

The Los Angeles Times, however, reported the Rams have Wentz "in their crosshairs" and "there is a strong likelihood that's the guy who winds up in L.A".

What does that mean for the Ravens?

Los Angeles will likely select a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick after a 8-9 season behind Nick Foles and Case Keenum.

All of those players would fill significant needs for the Ravens and make it very hard for them to trade back. Tennessee now has six picks in the top 76 of the 2016 draft-numbers 15, 33, 43, 45, 64 and 76. Early rumblings suggest that North Dakota State's Carson Wentz is the Rams choice, while California's Jared Goff is expected to go No. 2 to the Cleveland Browns.

This trade will have a big impact on the Jaguars given that they will face Tennessee two times a year in the AFC South. Tennessee will be able to rebuild their roster in a hurry with six of this draft's first 76 picks.

Now, however, the 49ers can take the best player available at No. 7 and then go after a second-tier quarterback in the second or third round, perhaps one they are reported to like anyway, such as Cook or Dak Prescott of Mississippi State. 500 football. For four years, he's stacked up draft picks and pushed the Rams to the forefront of the list of physical teams on both offense and defense.

The Giants and Chargers made a swap in 2004, with the Chargers drafting Eli Manning at No. 1 and dealing him to the Giants for Philip Rivers (the fourth pick) and what became Shawne Merriman and Nate Kaeding.

The first round of the draft is Thursday, April 28th. "We now have the ammunition to work the draft and acquire players that are good for this football team". As far as I can tell, the Los Angeles Rams are not one player away...particularly if that player is a quarterback, which it nearly certainly is.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher talked to reporters about both quarterbacks Thursday.
