Kerr return adds gloss to big win for unstoppable Warriors

"It has been a great run but none of that matters unless we can finish the job with this series".

James ushered in the modern National Basketball Association "superteam" era in 2010 when he signed with the Miami Heat to join forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Kevin Love had 27 points and Irving 19 on 8-for-23 shooting for Cleveland, which committed just nine turnovers one game after having given away 20 in the opener. It stood out for several reasons: the size difference between the two stars; as an illustration of Golden State's dominance through two games in this year's Finals; and finally, as a bit of revenge for a vicious block James had against Curry in last year's Finals matchup. Golden State's defense is focused on double-teaming Irving and forcing the ball out of his hands as much as possible. And so far, it doesn't seem like that version of Green is showing up, much to Golden State's benefit. And now his team and the entire National Basketball Association is being laid to waste. The Warriors had a different coach, the Cavs went with different uniforms, but the outcome was the same: a double-digit walk. Just as Golden State did in Game 1, the Warriors turned on the jets after the halftime break, outscoring the Cavaliers 35-24 in the third quarter - behind 12 points from Curry and nine from Durant - to give Golden State a 102-88 lead after three quarters that made the final 12 minutes of the game nearly moot. The Cavs have been better when playing with tempo throughout the postseason.

The Warriors' coach, who has battled awful back issues over the last two years, was shut down early in the postseason, letting Mike Brown take over the head-coaching duties in games.

Kevin Durant led the way with a game-high 33 points, while Steph Curry was right behind him with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. They clobbered the Cavaliers in Game 2 yesterday at Oracle - the final score was 132 to 113. It's not even close. "Just handle business the way you're supposed to handle business and that's the way you make history".

The Warriors didn't lose a game with Brown on the bench, which will likely earn him another head coaching job, just like it got Luke Walton, who filled in past year, and then got the Lakers' job.

"We have to sustain effort over the entire game", Irving said. "I was just kind of like a chicken with my head cut off, just running circles".

Fellow starters Tristan Thompson (eight points, four rebounds) and J.R. Smith (scoreless) were invisible again and no one on the bench stepped up leaving King James helpless for much of the night. Probably, but it wasn't blatant enough for the officials to blow that play dead.

Curry is healthier than a year ago, but that's not the Cavs biggest issue.

During the season, Cleveland was 11-12 in games played with a pace of 96 possessions per 48 minutes or fewer. It's betting on the worst parlay of all-time.

Klay Thompson contributed 22 points for the Warriors, who used their explosive offence to suffocate Cleveland's usually stingy defence. James, who attempted just a single shot in the fourth quarter, led the Cavaliers with three steals and tallied the Cavaliers only blocked shot.

That's been quite evident through two games.

First, here's the play in question, which came early in the third quarter Monday night. And then anything can happen in a Game 7, right?

"When you've got somebody doing you like that, it's just like a burning fire in their eye and you know you don't stand a chance", Green said.
