Suspect arrested after London jogger pushes woman in front of a bus

In this image taken from surveillance camera video released by London's Metropolitan Police on Tuesday Aug. 8 2017 shows a male jogger right after colliding into a woman who fell into the road on Putney Bridge in London. British police have appealed

Police have launched an appeal to find the jogger after he was caught on CCTV pushing a woman off the pavement on Putney Bridge into the path of a bus.

The law firm identified its client as Eric Bellquist, a partner at the private-equity firm Hutton Collins. Merton Police shared a 40-second CCTV footage and wrote how a "woman was pushed into the path of an oncoming bus in Putney".

A still frame from video released by police shows the man who pushed a woman in front of a bus in London. "Consequently, we expect a swift resolution to this wholly untrue allegation".

The incident occurred three months ago, at about 7:40 a.m. on May 5, but investigators had been unable to find the jogger, so they made a decision to release the video, a police spokesman said this week.

Eric Bellquist a 50 year old multimillionaire United States investment banker has denied been the individual implicated in pushing a 33 year old woman into the path of a bus. The bus swerved just in time to avoid hitting the woman.

She suffered only minor injuries.

Scotland Yard said the man officers arrested was still the subject of investigation but had not been released on official police bail.

Thankfully for her, the bus stopped at that point and kind passengers helped the woman. The victim tried to speak to him but he carried on jogging.

Police are continuing to appeal for information as to the identity of the man, who shoved a woman walking across the bridge out of his way on May 5.
