Jacoby Brissett reportedly going to start for Colts in Week 2

Arizona Cardinals at Indianapolis Colts - 9/17/17 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Arizona (1-1) never led until the final play.

Arizona started the season with a sloppy 35-23 loss at Detroit last week despite being a 2.5-point favorite on the road.

Add two more starters to the Colts' list of walking wounded this week. After that, Indianapolis (0-2) managed just one more sustained drive - which got them a field goal - and had only 96 yards on nine other possessions. According to multiple reports, the Colts are planning to start Brissett in their Week 2 contest against the Cardinals on Sunday.

After a sack by Hassan Ridgeway and a screen pass to running back Andre Ellington that lost 4 yards, the Cardinals (1-1) found themselves backed up at their own 18-yard line.

Three runs later, Cardinal kicker Phil Dawson punched a 30-yard kick through the uprights for the victory.

The most glaring mistake Sunday came 13 seconds into an overtime that was forced when Dawson pushed a 42-yarder wide right as regulation time expired. QB Andrew Luck will miss second straight game with Indy. Defensively, the Cardinals were carved up by Matthew Stafford for 292 yards and four touchdowns, though the unit did manage an early interception for a touchdown. I can not wait until the Colts get rid of him, but of course, there is the problem of finding a replacement coach and that is why the Colts might have to wait until the offseason to make any coaching changes. Then, things bogged down. The Arizona Cardinals raised far too many concerns in a 16-13 overtime victory over the Colts in Indianapolis to feel good about the team's direction. It's a minor upgrade for Indianapolis' offense, but Brissett is plenty limited as a passer, evidenced by the 154.0 yards he averaged in two starts for the New England Patriots last season. The Colts had to settle for the field goal.

Indianapolis increased its lead to 10-0 with 1:27 remaining in the first quarter on Vinatieri's 46-yard field goal.

He has now made 177 field goals from 20 to 29 yards, breaking a tie with Morten Andersen.

-Pigs might be flying inside of Lucas Oil Stadium if Vinatieri misses two kicks like he did in Los Angeles last week. Gore closed out the drive with his TD run.

These injuries on top of the big one, a dislocated wrist that landed star running back David Johnson on injured reserve (although he may return sometime in the second half of the season). Jacoby Brissett, acquired in a trade right before the season began, will get the start under center. It didn't appear the Colts had any major injuries, either.

"And, again, you've got some young guys out there - no excuses - but they schemed it up pretty good and got some guys loose in the back end".
