Jon Gruden's NFL Coaching Career By-The-Numbers

Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin shown at left with former Michigan star Marlin Jackson is reportedly receiving interest from Oakland

Davis' desire for Gruden was so deep that he is reportedly giving Gruden a 10 year deal worth $100 million.

After leading the Raiders to 8-8 records his first two years, Gruden helped the team reach the AFC title game following the 2000 season and got Oakland back into the playoffs the following season. Gruden hasn't coached an National Football League game in nearly ten years, and his last stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2003-08, produced a record of 45-51. Rex Ryan called the second half of ESPN's Monday Night Football doubleheader to kick off the season so he at least has one game under his belt.

It didn't take long for new Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden to meet quarterback Derek Carr.

After confirming that there is indeed a no-trade clause in his contract, Gruden, 54, became emotional thanking the former players in attendance. Davis knows after a disappointing season that it would be hard to sell tickets, sponsorships, etc., the next two seasons to a jilted fan base in Oakland. Gruden answered another when he confirmed that he, as expected, would be calling plays for the Raiders next season.

ESPN needs a Jon Gruden replacement. "I just really want to be a part of the Raiders again and I want to finish my coaching career as an Oakland Raider". He got off to a slow start in his return, rushing for just 266 yards in the first half of the season and getting suspended one game for shoving an official after coming off the bench during a scuffle against Kansas City.

New studies indicate people are seeking help by talking about their problems
Through powerful words and actions, we can shift the social and systemic barriers for those living with mental health conditions. Recently, World Health Organization (WHO) declared that depression is the leading cause of ill health and disability worldwide.

Gruden was introduced as the new Raiders head coach. "All I know is that this year I'm going to be coaching in Oakland, and next year I'm going to be coaching in Oakland". He said he thought he had been close four times before and the opportunity was finally right this year after more than a dozen cross-country recruiting trips to Tampa, Florida. "He's a guy that I've always had a lot of respect for". Deuce Gruden has been with the Redskins' strength and conditioning staff since the 2016-17 season serving first as an intern and then as a full-time coach. The Raiders played a Monday Night Football game December 25 in Philadelphia, and Davis met Gruden before kickoff against the Eagles.

Much like he met with Carr during the Gruden QB Camp prior to the NFL Draft, the feeling Gruden has for the 26-year-old ex-Fresno State star hasn't changed. "It will be fun, but he's a great coach and you see why Oakland is so excited about being able to get him back to the Raiders".

Gruden makes it seem like Davis was the only one flirting for most of those years.

Vermeil said he thinks Gruden would have returned sooner if not for the rules in the Collective Bargaining Agreement that limit the amount of time and how often teams can practice in pads - not to be overlooked by a coach whose work ethic has been described as maniacal.

Like most things sports-related, you can bet on it. "It's up to us.to come up with an offense that allows him to soar to another level".
