Scathing Trump book 'Fire and Fury' heading for TV

Endeavor Content has bought the television rights to the book in a seven-figure deal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A network has not yet been attached to the project, though Wolff is signed to executive produce alongside former Channel 4 and BBC executive Michael Jackson, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The explosive allegations have led to sharp criticism from the White House and its allies, who have dismissed Wolff's book as "trashy tabloid fiction".

Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" sold more than 190,000 hardcover copies last week, the book's first full week of publication, a company which tracks the retail market told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Wolff's entree began with Trump himself, who phoned the author in early February to compliment him on a CNN appearance in which Wolff criticized media coverage of the new president.

Why Kate Middleton, Prince William Did Not Enroll Charlotte In George's School
As Princess Charlotte begins nursery school this week, People got the first insight on the two-year-old's character and talents. Last year , the duchess celebrated her birthday privately at the royal family's country retreat at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

One of the biggest questions surrounding Michael Wolff's provocative-yet-sloppy book about the Trump administration is: How did he get so much access?

It was published ahead of schedule to protect it from the threatened legal action by the White House.

This account of how Wolff reported his book is based on interviews with multiple current and former Trump aides and advisers. The show could tap some of Saturday Night Live's cast to fill roles, especially Aidy Bryant to play Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kate McKinnon to pull double duty and play both Jeff Sessions and Kellyanne Conway and Cecily Strong to play First Lady Melania Trump. Most insisted on anonymity to discuss one of the most embarrassing episodes of Trump's presidency so far.

But the list of top salaries, which dates back to June 2017, also includes names the President would rather forget, including axed chief strategist Steve Bannon and ousted chief of staff Reince Priebus.
