Colin Firth Says He Will No Longer Work With Woody Allen

Woody Allen's adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, again accused the film-maker of molesting her as a child during a tearful televised interview that was broadcast yesterday.

Firth, who appeared in Allen's 2013 film Magic in the Moonlight, made his position clear in a statement to The Guardian on Thursday.

His vow follows that of Timothee Chamolet, star of Allen's forthcoming A Rainy Day in NY, to donate his salary from the picture, in part, to the Time's Up campaign.

She said he had been her "hero", adding: "I loved my father". Farrow first went public with her account in 2014, but only now, in the midst of the #MeToo movement, have Allen's film industry colleagues begun to abandon him.

Allen's estranged, adopted daughter Dylan Farrow has revived claims that he sexually assaulted her as a 7-year-old in 1992, asking the world to finally believe her as the sexual harassment watershed convulses America.

The Time's Up initiative us in response to the reckoning around sexual abuse in Hollywood. Allen called the accusation "untrue and disgraceful" at the time.

Mira Sorvino: Sorvino won an Oscar for her work in Woody Allen's 1995 film "Mighty Aphrodite", but after she came forward to accuse Harvey Weinstein of harassment in an article written by Dylan Farrow's brother Ronan Farrow, she wrote an open letter to the 32-year-old accuser, in which she apologized for having worked with the director.

She added: "Every step of the way, my mother has only encouraged me to tell the truth ..." Dylan Farrow became visibly emotional. As a "mother and a woman", she wrote that the story of Farrow broke "her heart".

"He's lying and he's been lying for so long", she said.

A CT state prosecutor at the time had found probable cause to charge Allen but thought Farrow too fragile to face a celebrity trial.

Farrow alleged that she was molested when Allen visited her mother's CT home in August 1992, in the middle of a custody fight. Woody Allen is 82 years old now, but he'll never be too old to be made to face the bad things he is alleged to have done. "My first impulse was that I had done something wrong". The film received fairly average reviews, with a general consensus that it was a lesser version of more inspired Allen works of the past.

In January, Timothée Chalamet, who stars in Rainy Day, announced that he too would be donating his salary from the film to three separate charities: Time's Up, RAINN, and the L.G.B.T. Center.

According to him, he couldn't say anything due to "contractual obligations".

The announcement by Chalamet, a favourite Oscar contender for best actor this year, followed a similar one Friday by his co-star Hall. She also said that he had been inappropriate at other times, including asking her to get into bed with him while he wore only underwear.
