Rory McIlroy going well after second round of Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship

FOLLOWING his brilliant performance at the BMW SA Open Golf Championship last week where he finished an incredible fourth, rising star Scott Vincent's continues to impress after he made a satisfactory start at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA, which teed off at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club yesterday. It also put a big smile on McIlroy's face.

Johnson is paired with McIlroy and Fleetwood for the opening rounds, while Rose goes out with Olympic silver medalist Stenson and bronze victor Kuchar. I'm in a positive mind-set, keeping calm, knowing I've done well here in the past and that the course suits me. "I mean normally I can't hit the ball that far", he said. I feel like I really like the golf course.

"Felt like I gave myself tons of chances on the back nine and it was sort of hard to convert them".

Thomas Pieters, who forged an excellent alliance with McIlroy at the last Ryder Cup, reminded onlookers he wants to remain part of such a fold by charging to the top of the leaderboard.

Campillo was one of three players - along with 11th-placed duo Branden Grace and Dustin Johnson - to sign for eight under on their second round, placing him one stroke ahead of Ross Fisher, Alexander Levy and overnight leader Tommy Fleetwood.

On playing alongside Johnson and McIlroy, Fleetwood added: "I think during my career, I think I'm going to struggle to find a better three ball, really".

"You need to hit it a lot more accurate off the tee because being in the fairway is a lot more important", Rahm said about the Pete Dye-designed Stadium Course, a layout the former Arizona State player likened to the Dye-designed Karsten course on the school's campus.

Sioux Empire Vikings Fans React to "Minneapolis Miracle" Game
The play was nearly exactly like Joe Flacco's "Mile High Miracle" touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones in the 2012 AFC Divisional Round. The last few minutes of the game alone saw multiple lead changes and an assortment of incredible plays from both teams.

"No bogeys in 2018", he declared with a smile. He joins No. 11 Rory McIlroy, who can climb back into the top ten with a high finish in his first start since early October.

"They seem to have paid off already". "My wedge play is right where it needs to be".

"I always like to come here to Abu Dhabi and play golf".

What exactly were those tweaks are? "I've done quite a bit of work over the off-season and worked on my swing and a couple little tweaks here and there". "It was more my upper body and that was creating a two-way miss". But the 2017 Race to Dubai champion - Europe's No 1 - Tommy Fleetwood was even more pleased with his day. A bogey-free 69, I can't really complain.

McIlroy also enjoyed two days playing alongside world No 1 Dustin Johnson and European No 1 Tommy Fleetwood, who are also firmly in contention heading into the weekend, and being able to keep up with Johnson's long driving was another positive for the Northern Irishman.

"I mean, it was a pretty easy 64".

"I was just excited to get going".
