WhatsApp Launches Business App Officially In Selected Markets

The WhatsApp Business application is an additional application that the user can download it from the Android Play Store.

BUSINESS PROFILE: Create a profile for your business to help your customers find valuable information - like your website, location, or contact information. "And people will continue to have full control over the messages they receive, with the ability to block any number, including businesses, as well as report spam", the company said in its blog. In the main WhatsApp app, businesses will be clearly distinguished from regular users and will eventually receive confirmation badges. Over time, WhatsApp says it will equip some businesses with "Confirmed Accounts", likely a similar feature to Twitter's verification process, once the company's phone number has been validated. There's also "greeting messages", to quickly introduce customers to the user's business, and "away messages" to quickly inform customers that they're busy.

The app is available in Indonesa, Italy, Mexico, the USA and United Kingdom from today, with the promise of more countires to come, but is Android-only at the time being.

Colin Firth Says He Will No Longer Work With Woody Allen
She added: "Every step of the way, my mother has only encouraged me to tell the truth ..." Dylan Farrow became visibly emotional. Farrow alleged that she was molested when Allen visited her mother's CT home in August 1992, in the middle of a custody fight.

It's completely separate to the standard version of WhatsApp, but it works in much the same manner - only its goal is connecting businesses and customers, rather than friends and family. The company says that some Business Accounts will have Confirmed Accounts over time once it's been confirmed that their account phone number matches the business phone number. For example, businesses can know how numerous intended recipients read the bulk messages they sent. So, they can also connect with businesses using WhatsApp Web. Being a standalone app, you can keep your business and personal messages separate. In India, 84 per cent of SMBs think that WhatsApp helps them communicate with customers, andA80 per cent of SMBs think that WhatsApp helps them grow their business.

However concerns have already been raised that WhatsApp is actually looking to make a lot of money from the new app by charging larger enterprises for more advanced features. All of the same features will remain, including blocking any numbers.

WhatsApp Business is now available to small business owners in the U.S., the U.K., Mexico Italy and Indonesia.
