Skipper Cahill Backs Conte as He Concedes Chelsea Were 'Abysmal' in Loss

Antonio Conte is in no immediate danger of being sacked in the wake of Chelsea's humiliating 4-1 defeat against Watford on Monday, sources have told ESPN FC.

Sky Sports News reports that Blues owner, Roman Abramovich, is against employing a short-term fix ahead of a busy few weeks of fixtures. They remain in this season's competition but face runaway La Liga leaders Barcelona in the last-16, with the first leg at home on February 20.

Anyone who has watched the defiant Italian at post-match news conferences and TV interviews this season can attest to the fact things are growing increasingly worse between Conte and Chelsea's board.

The Blues have suffered defeats in their last two games following a 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge last week. However, this also comes with the down side of Abramovich's ridiculously itchy trigger when it comes to sacking his managers.

"As a supporter when you buy a ticket you want to turn up and you want to see your manager giving 100% and for me last night he just looked like he couldn't care less at Watford".

The reports of an interest in Suarez really doesn't bode well for Chelsea's club record signing Alvaro Morata, who has come in for criticism after struggling since his £58m move from Real Madrid. "This is the worst I've felt for a while".

Authorities identify man seen in disturbing child pornography video that went viral
Police detectives have contacted authorities in Alabama, and police there say the child has been found and is safe. A Detroit man who is believed to be behind a widely-shared video of child pornography is in custody in Alabama .

I mean yes, we were all thinking it, but you don't need to say it, Antonio. We must be strong to accept this type of situation. I've been here before at this club.

Conte also refused to accept injuries and fatigue are the reason for the stark difference in Chelsea's performances in results from his first season where they didn't have the distraction of European football.

Player recruitment and the autonomy - or otherwise - of the manager have always been core issues and until they are settled it is unlikely Chelsea will ever truly reach the kind of hegemony once enjoyed by United and now threatened by City.

"As a player, what I want is to get back on the training field as soon as possible, work hard for Monday's game, get the three points and get some confidence back".

'Don't forget, this summer, we brought in eight players and spent a lot less than other teams who bought only two or three.

Former Chelsea assistant coach, Ray Wilkins, has blamed the club's former Technical Director, Michael Emenalo, for the club's current poor form.
