Carrie Underwood Shares Anthemic Single 'Cry Pretty'

Last week, the American Idol victor excited fans when she shared a photo of herself in the studio, not only showing her face, but also teasing new music.

"I mean we're all women in different places in our lives and kind of have all lived different lives and from different places, but we all love music and we all love you know sharing our heart in your music".

After accumulating a weeks' worth of clues leaning towards a new song in the works via social media, Carrie Underwood finally gives in with the release of her first solo radio track titled "Cry Pretty", since her single "Dirty Laundry", which issued back in 2016, with the exception of her debut track "The Champion", Ft. "And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well".

Carrie Underwood in the press room at the 41st Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards. But with one exception, her entire face hasn't been seen in a photograph since she suffered a "gruesome" fall at home in November.

She told fans: "First off, physically, I'm doing pretty darn good these days!"

Catalan ex-leader Carles Puigdemont plans return to Belgium

Speaking of the writing process, Carrie, who impressively both co-wrote and co-produced her latest hit, explained to that the concept came about during a writing session with a trio of fellow accomplished female songwriters. She added, "I definitely feel more like myself than I have in a while".

"One of the silver linings for me in this healing process is the time I've gotten to spend with Mike and Isaiah", she added, referencing husband Mike Fisher and 3-year-old son Isaiah. "It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life", Underwood explained. "And I can't wait to start this new chapter with you!" She shared a link to the song via Twitter, writing: "It's here!"

Though Underwood has been spending time taking "forced relaxation", as she referred to it on her fan page, she has certainly not been gone or forgotten. It's emotional. It's real.

She updated fans on her website saying that she's "healing pretty nicely" and that she also has a new single and an album coming out soon.
