The DEA has identified more than5,000locations across the USA where people can safely dispose of unused prescription drugs.

Google is also adding a link to its search page for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day that will provide information on curbing the opioid epidemic.

They are encouraging you to drop off unused, expired, or unwanted prescription drugs at locations around the state participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

In Minnesota a year ago, 395 people died of opioids, of which 194 were from prescription opioids.

Drop-off points for unused prescription drugs are available year-round in Taos County at Questa Police Department, Taos Pueblo Police Department and Taos Police Department.
