Google Cloud is ready for the GDPR

The search giant essentially admitted what you've suspected all along, that privacy policies are too complicated to just explain with words.

The GDPR requires "public authority organisations" to appoint a data protection officer (DPO) to "assist you to monitor internal compliance, inform and advise on your data protection obligations, provide advice...and act as a contact point", according to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

In addition to this, the company has also published its updated privacy policy.

Although we're taking these steps to make our Privacy Policy easier to understand, it's important to note that nothing is changing about your current settings or how your information is processed. Users can choose to permanently delete specific activities, or days of activity that they do not want connected to their account.

SessionM released a new feature set to help clients achieve General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance. They can also view or delete data from the My Activity section and manage or mute the ads they see on Google, on websites and in apps using the recently upgraded "Ads Settings" tool and "Mute This Ad" control. Suzanne Frey, Director, Security, Trust, & Privacy, Google Cloud, and Marc Crandall, Director of Data Protection and Compliance, Google Cloud, wrote that "Google Cloud customers can confidently use our services when the GDPR takes effect on May 25". To support this, Google launched the Data Transfer Project on GitHub, which offers early-stage open source code that will soon be available for any developer to use.

Hodges man faces charges in murder-for-hire investigation
He recommended times for the murder, described his plan to take his neighbor's land and promised more jobs to come. A Lexington County deputy working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation submitted an affidavit in a U.S.

"As we evolve our products over time, we'll continue to improve our Privacy Program and the protections we offer to users", the post stated.

These changes come at a time where awareness on privacy issues are higher than usual with scandals such as the Cambridge Analytica data breach affecting Facebook users worldwide.

Google announced today that Google Cloud Platform is ready for the GDPR.
