Hulu dropping free video as it prepares cable TV alternative

Your days of watching Hulu for free are numbered, as the ad-supported version of the streaming service is phasing out to be more like subscription-only competitors such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video. The end of Hulu's free service coincides with a new partnership with Yahoo revealed Monday. Now, Hulu will begin to phase out this feature and instead focus exclusively on its subscription-based service. (more...)

Whistler-Blackcomb shareholders are being offered $676 million of cash and Vail stock worth about $715 million - making the deal worth almost $1.4 billion. Whistler and Blackcomb are two side-by-side mountains connected by cable lift.
