An enthusiastic House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) told a news conference on Wednesday, "Donald Trump pulled off an wonderful political feat, and he deserves tremendous credit for that". Pressed on Fox News if he was anxious about a challenge from conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus in next week's vote for another term as speaker, Ryan said, "No, we're excited about going forward and about working on executing an agenda so the Democrats are the ones who are in turmoil". Remember, a presidential election is not a direct national election. The machine will also let the voter know if an election was skipped.
